How journaling reduces stress and increases productivity

Modern life is full of high stress and anxiety, and this is something most of us face on a daily basis. When in this situation, it’s only natural that we are looking for a relief, or an escape from such adversities. Writing can be that escape. Even if you don’t think your literal skills are that good, keeping a journal can provide an opportunity to release everything that you are holding pent up inside. This way, you can reflect on your situations and daily events, and think about them in a much calmer and objective way.

Key Takeaways:

  • In the moment writing can be emotional and even hurt but the effects can also be extremely helpful in the long term.
  • A great thing you can do is take 20 to 30 minutes to basically vent via writing about events that are annoying you.
  • You don’t have to keep a journal if you don’t want. You can just write in it and destroy it after you vent.

“When you have a bad experience in your personal or professional life, write about it a few times.”
