Positive thinking is pushed on all of us throughout the day and in our professional lives. It is one of the things that psychologists tend to push on people and read about for better well being. It just isn’t natural to constantly be positive all of the time. Trying to get there constantly is only going to leave you feeling very frustrated. It is normal to no feel positive all the time, but you can have a better attitude about it when you are feeling upset, like understanding that what you’re feeling is normal.

Key Takeaways:

  • People tend to think the same thoughts over and over again, all day long, and it is not helpful if these thoughts are negative.
  • Instead of worrying about the future or ruminating on the past, the key is to focus on what is happening now.
  • Focus on how you feel right now and what is around you, but be careful not to judge any of it.

“No matter what you choose, if you want to live a more peaceful life, you’re going to have to make a change.”
