The adoption of this technology is to help understand brain waves of students while in the classroom. This will be helpful for some teachers, but for students it is something they don’t care to have. Key Takeaways:

  • A growing number of classrooms in China are equipped with artificial-intelligence cameras and brain-wave trackers.
  • While many parents and teachers see them as tools to improve grades, they’ve become some children’s worst nightmare.
  • A new report proposes a framework to address privacy, trust and governance issues in the use of technologies for mental healthcare.

“The Council urges governments, policy-makers, business leaders and practitioners to address the barriers keeping effective treatments from those who need them, which include ethical considerations and a lack of evidence-based research. The report outlines eight actions that will enable technology to ethically address mental ill-health at scale.”
