Three Ways to Manage the Meddlers in Your Life

January 21, 2020

Everyone deals with meddlers in their life from time to time, and most of the time those that are meddling are just try to help. However, most of the time we don’t want their advice, we just want to be left alone. If you are dealing with meddlers, realize that they are just trying to help and figure out if you’re more worried about your identity and how you come across, or your reputation. Finally, figure out if the advice that you’re getting is actually beneficial to you and can help you out in the long run. Meddling is awkward but understand that most people are only trying to help.

Key Takeaways:

  • Figure out if you’re more upset about your identity or your reputation with any issue you’re having.
  • Figure out why you are meddling on a specific topic and ask for honest advice from a loved one.
  • Friends will generally do their best to help others out. Sometimes the truth hurts but friends will usually be brutally honest to help you figure out a mistake you’re making.

“Meddling creates awkward if not out and out painful interactions with the people close to you in life.”
