If you want to be more productive, the most powerful tool you have in your arsenal is the word “no”. Saying no to things that you don’t want to do or that aren’t going to further your personal goals gives you back your valuable time. Of course, you can’t say no to everything, so you have to strike a careful balance. Say no to distractions and yes to interesting and rewarding opportunities that excite and motivate you personally and/or professionally.
- Not doing something is faster than doing it. It is worth asking yourself if something is actually necessary you said you would do.
- We say yes to people because we want to be liked and helpful; however, most of the time it is not always necessary and just ends up stressing us out.
- No is a decision and yes is a responsibility. There is an important balance one needs to find in order to lead a happy life.
