The way news is delivered is much different than it was ten or twenty years ago. It is hard to escape the constant updates of what is going on in the world and it is also a lot more emotive in the way that it is reported. There are also a lot more stories circulating around us since the invention of smart phones. Biased and politically motivated news tends to have a disruptive effect on your mental health.
