Pressures of daily life can wear a person down in body, mind and spirit, but there are internal pressures we put on ourselves as well. Pressures such as are we good enough, what if this were to occur or that, what will I do? One of the first things a person has to learn in changing the way they think and experience stress is how they view things. One can choose to look at things in a positive or negative way.
- The mom in the blog piece drifts off often when she is having relaxation time with her kids and she attributes it to the pressure she is having.
- She is learning right now to recognize the pressure, understand it and reduce it as much as she can while hoping to address valid concerns.
- She used to believe that things didn’t matter without the pressure because pressure used to be normal and the stress a part of her life.
“Now, I know that my thinking patterns and actions can either bring more pressure or more peace.”
