A lot of parents are having a hard time getting their children to engage with certain things since they are stuck inside the house. Being inside all day may not bother a lot of kids since that is what a lot of kids enjoy doing anyway, but there are many that enjoy getting outdoors and exploring. One way you can engage your children is to offer a writing prompt and have them draw a picture of what it was that they wrote about.

Key Takeaways:

  • It can be hard to get kids to get connected with nature. You can have them draw things that they are grateful for, and see if they respond with nature drawings.
  • Kids enjoy being in nature when they are given autonomy. When they have freedom they feel like they can run around without having to worry too much about rules.
  • Kid’s when they are free to express themselves will give nature a chance. Getting to run around with dogs or other kids typical allows them to be happy outdoors.
