Choosing Now to Be Happy: Why the Conditions Are Never Perfect

As human beings, we are primed to believe that happiness depends on alignment of stars, and once that state is achieved, life would be trouble-free from that point onwards. The biggest problem with that belief is that we are never content with the list of things that went our way. If we have a great job, we want a great partner, and if we get that, then we want a great house. This way, we spend much more time thinking about what we don’t have than appreciating everything we have and should be thankful for.
