https://brainspeak.com is published by You and Me Unlimited, LLC. We also operate checkout and membership at https://shop.brainspeak.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how to reach us. If you use the site or buy a BrainSpeak program, you agree to this policy.
What we collect
If you only browse the site, we may receive technical data from your visit. That can include your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, dates and times, and the site you came from or went to next. If you email us, join a list, fill out a form, create a membership login, or buy something, we keep the information you give us. That usually includes your name, email address, and order details. We do not ask you to send a credit card number by email.
Cookies, logs, and analytics
Like other commercial websites, we use cookies and server logs to run the site and understand how it is used. A cookie is a small text file your browser can store. Your browser only lets a site read the cookies that site set. We use Usermaven to see aggregate visit data on https://brainspeak.com. Hosting and WordPress also keep standard server logs so the site can load and stay available.
Purchases and membership
If you buy a BrainSpeak program, checkout and membership are handled at https://shop.brainspeak.com by Kartra. Card payments are processed by Stripe through that checkout. We use the name, email, and order details from the purchase to deliver access, send receipts, and answer support. We do not store full credit card numbers on our WordPress site.
We use ActiveCampaign to send the emails you signed up for, and to send post-purchase mail when a program uses that path. Transactional mail such as receipts may go out through Kartra and SendGrid. We keep your email address confidential. We do not sell, rent, or lease our lists to unaffiliated third parties. In line with the CAN-SPAM Act, our emails say who they are from, how to reach us, and how to unsubscribe. You can opt out with the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. If you email support@brainspeak.com, we may keep the message, your address, and our reply so we can help you.
How we use information
We use personal information to run the business, deliver products, provide customer service, send information you asked for, and keep the site working. We do not collect a name or email when you only visit the site, unless you choose to give it to us. We may disclose information when we believe the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
Companies that help us run the business
We share information with the companies that actually send the email, take the payment, host the site, or deliver membership. Today that includes Kartra, Stripe, ActiveCampaign, SendGrid, HostGator, WordPress, and Usermaven. They get what they need to do that job. They do not get our list to use as their own.
How we protect information
Email is not a secure medium. Do not send private information by email unless you accept that risk. Sensitive information entered on our checkout travels over SSL. We do not send credit card numbers by email. We may use software to count visitors, watch for problems, and keep the site available.
Children
BrainSpeak programs are for adults. The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child gave us information, email support@brainspeak.com and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing email with the link in the message. You can ask us what we have on file, or ask us to update or delete it, by emailing support@brainspeak.com. We may need to keep order records for tax, refund, or legal reasons.
